Another Attempt

With Christmas fast approaching, not to mention the addition to our family, I tried yet another attempt at some family photos. Maybe one of these times I'll get a photo that is Christmas card worthy - or maybe I just won't send one (hee hee)! It seems so much easier to get good pictures of other families and children, but when it comes to mine it's just plain difficult! I think Colby turns and runs everytime he sees the camera.

I can hardly believe that I'm 36 weeks pregnant already! This pregancy has gone by so quickly. I hope to post some pregnancy photos shortly, but here's what I have for now!

Kratz Family

What a beautiful weekend for pictures! The snow covered trees made the perfect backdrop for these family shots. Despite the cold, the kids were very cooperative! Logan (now 12 months old) seems to love having his picture taken, grinning ear to ear at every opportunity.

A lot to be thankful for...

This Thanksgiving we gathered as a family at our cabin up north. We have so many things to be grateful for, but on this Thanksgiving we thank God for health and new life (times 2). Donna and Reuben (and family) were able to join us for the day. I was able to capture some shots of Donna on the last day of her pregnancy (unbeknownst to us at the time).

God was watching over our family this Thanksgiving.

Reuben&Donna decided to go into the hospital because Donna was having increasing levels of pain. After arriving around 11:30pm, Donna was rushed into emergency C-section when no heartbeats could be found. Despite placental abruption, Ori Mathis (weighing 6lb10oz) and Gideon James (weighing 6lb12oz) were born at 11:55pm on Thanksgiving night, 2 healthy little boys. New life is always a miracle, but especially on this night.

Here are some pictures of the boys at just 3 days old.

Young Family

I met Shawn, Glen, and Andrew at Masonic Homes this past Sunday. What an amazing fall day for pictures! I first met Shawn a few weeks ago at a scrapbooking retreat weekend. It was nice to finally meet her family, since I had seen many pictures of them over that weekend (my favorite was Andrew mowing the grass!) Like me, Shawn is rarely in the pictures since she is always behind the camera. This was finally her chance to be in them! These should keep you busy scrapbooking for quite some time!
